A commercial sex worker was tragically killed in a car accident on the Kasoa-Winneba route.
Anabel, the victim, had booked a taxi to transport her from Kasoa to Awutu Bereku to meet a client. Sadly, she would never return home.
According to reports, Anabel and the taxi driver got into a fight when she arrived at Triple X.
She accused him of having sexual relations with her while refusing to pay for her services.
The driver strongly refuted her charges, claiming she was using them to avoid paying the GH80 taxi price.
The driver rushed away without paying the fare, leaving Anabel in the dust.
Anabel turned to spectators who had intervened to break up the argument between her and the driver, desperate for her cash.
Unfortunately, disaster occurred when she demanded her money from the onlookers. Awutu Bereku tipper vehicle hit her, killing her instantly.
The incident occurred near Buduburam in the Central Region at Triple X.
The Buduburam District Police Command arrested and detained the tipper truck driver to assist with their investigation after sending Anabel’s body to St. Gregory Hospital.
This terrible episode highlights the continued difficulties encountered by sex workers, who are sometimes involved in disputes with clients who refuse to compensate them for their services.
