“I spent only Ghs 320 on my simple yet lovely wedding”- Man reveals
In Port Harcourt, Nigeria, a Nigerian guy took to social media to explain how he had a 320 cedis wedding ceremony budget.
On Twitter, The man identified as Nnamdi Chris shared how he staged a private ceremony with ten people in attendance in a lounge in Rivers State’s capital.
“I got married at the Port Harcourt Marriage Registry yesterday.” I paid a N15,500 statutory fee plus an additional N5,000 for “drink money,” as the Registrar referred to it. Following that, I organized a fantastic celebration for 10 guests (including my wife and me) at Farrah Coffee Lounge, PH. To be clear, I only invited immediate family members since I wanted the wedding to be private.”
Nnamdi also urged young men not to spend too much money on a large wedding ceremony, He wrote:
Marriage is free unless you choose to marry like a ritualist.
