“How can you make someone who can’t speak your language a chief”- Afia Schwar blast GA people over obofour’s enstoolment
Controversial Afia Schwarzenegger has slammed the GA Traditional Area leadership for installing Rev. Obofour as the new chief of Sempe.
Rev Obofour’s enstoolment as the new Nii Odartey Gyata 1 has elicited a reaction from Afia Schwar.
Reverend Francis Antwi aka Rev Obofour, a popular Ghanaian minister of God, was enstooled as a chief at Bortianor in the Greater Accra region.
Over the weekend, the enstoolment ritual took place. Rev Obofour’s stool name as Ga Sempe Mants3 at Bortianor was ‘Nii Adotey Gyata 1’ because of his humanitarian deeds.
He was escorted in by a squad of elders and swordsmen after the coronation to address his subjects, who were chanting with delight.
Rev Obofour will no longer be addressed as Kwaku Antwi Adjei, but as Nii Addotey Gyata 1, as is customary.
Rev Obofour is also the Aboafuohene of Tepa, therefore this will be his second coronation as chief.
Despite his inability to communicate in Ga, Rev Obofour swore to hold his role as Chief of the Coastal Land in great regard.
Afia Schwar has blasted the people of Greater Accra for enstooling someone who doesn’t even match the fundamental standards of a traditional chief.
