Who is Dennis Troper?
Dennis Troper is Google’s product director for Wear OS. He joined Google in early 2003 and has worked on a variety of products including AdWords, G Suite, and Google Fiber.
Dennis Troper early life
Little is known about Dennis’s childhood, but images from the 1970s on a Google+ account suggest that he spent some of his childhood in Costa Rica. He revealed in one of these photos that he and his brother would spend days on the beach without sunscreen.
Dennis enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin in 1988 and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics in 1991.
In 1993, he received his Master’s degree in applied economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he met his future wife Susan.

Dennis worked as a senior technology consultant at Deloitte, the world’s largest professional services network and one of the “Big Four” accounting firms, shortly after graduating in 1997.
Dennis began his career in technology as a senior applications consultant at Concur, a company that specializes in expense management software, in late 1998. In his role, he assisted in the implementation of the program for a number of Fortune 500 companies.
Troper spent the next two years as the senior product manager at Oracle Customer Relationship Management after two years at Concur.
Dennis joined Google in 2003, where he later worked on several major products. He has worked as the product manager for AdWords, the product director for Google Apps for Work, the product leader for Google Fiber, and the product development leader for Google+ and Google My Business prior to his current position as the director of product management for Wear OS.
