A 24-year-old man named Justice Ezekiel was sentenced to 14 years in prison after being apprehended for stealing GH50 worth of cassava and plantain.
The unemployed young guy was arrested and taken to the Tepa Circuit Court, where he was sentenced to many years in prison for stealing the items.
According to sources, the young man pleaded guilty to the crime after being presented and charged by the court, and he was sentenced to ten and a half years in prison for it.
The case was presided over by Gwendolyn Millicent Owusu, who sentenced the impoverished man, who will be 38 years old by the time he completes his 14-year prison sentence.
The young man was claimed to have taken the food from a farm in Akwasiase, near Tepa in the Ahafo Ano North District.
