In a surprising turn of events, it has been confirmed by DPA Law Firm that Yul Edochie’s first wife, May, has filed for a divorce.
The law firm released a statement on their Facebook page on August 1, 2023, revealing that May is also suing Yul and his second wife, Judy, for adultery.
May is seeking damages of 100 million naira against Judy for allegedly being involved in an affair with Yul. The statement made it clear that Yul and Judy cannot legally be considered husband and wife until Yul and May are officially divorced.
Reports indicate that Yul and Judy have been made aware of the lawsuit and have received copies of the legal documents via email.
However, the court bailiff has been unsuccessful in serving them personally. The law firm expressed surprise at Yul and Judy’s attempts to avoid being served.
They also mentioned that May has filed for an order to prevent Yul from accessing their former matrimonial home due to safety concerns.
Yul’s behavior has been described as erratic, irrational, and threatening. Despite these circumstances, Yul attempted to gain access to the home, but law enforcement intervened and reminded him that all issues regarding his marriage to May are now subjudice.
Yul has been prohibited from entering the mansion where May and their children currently reside. The law firm assured that measures are being taken to protect May and her children.
