It was previously alleged that Ghanaian legend actress and editor/journalist at Graphic Showbiz. Jayne Buckman died after a brief illness.
Jayne died in the early hours of yesterday, according to reports.
Jayne, 49, was claimed to have suffered a brief illness, despite the fact that the cause of death has not been made public.
Jayne worked as a staff writer for Graphic Showbiz for almost 20 years, covering key events in Ghana and around the world.
Jayne Buckman-Owoo of Graphic Showbiz was honored at the Golden Age Creative Arts Awards (GACAA), which were hosted at the Alisa Hotel in Accra in 2021, after serving in the creative business for about 20 years in a variety of capacities.
Prior to her untimely demise, she had a falling out with DKB over a report that caused the comic to curse her on live television.
DKB was contracted to perform at former first lady Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings’ 70th birthday party in 2017.
According to DKB, a spiteful publication from Jane Buckman Owoo claiming that the former first lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, had labeled him as a boring comic went viral and damaged his career.
According to DKB, the magazine was untrue in saying that former first lady Nana Agyemang Rawlings would not have called him back to perform at her 70th birthday party if she had made such comments.
“People have written several false things about me, which is fine, but this one brought me down, destroyed my career, and blocked all my opportunities,” he regretfully recalled.
He stated that he has not been able to emerge from the ashes of Jane’s propaganda against him, which has resulted in the destruction of his comedy show, Point of View.
He told an Adom TV reporter that he cursed Jane for this reason, promising her that she would not enjoy peace forever.
