A child who stunned the world by being seen smoking cigarettes has entirely altered himself after quitting his 40-a-day habit.
Ardi Rizal, a two-year-old boy from Sumatra, Indonesia, was seen joyfully inhaling on cancer-causing cigarettes.
However, seven years later, the boy had successfully overcome his harmful addiction and was seen looking smaller and happy in 2017.
Ardi, who was previously overweight and used to consume three cans of fatty condensed milk every day, now eats fresh fish, fruits, and vegetables.
The youngster said that quitting smoking was really tough.
“It was difficult for me to quit,” he told CNN. When I don’t smoke, my tongue tastes nasty and my brain feels dizzy.
“I’m relieved now. “I’m feeling more energized, and my body is feeling revitalized. “
Ardi’s parents were able to wean him off cigarettes thanks to government involvement and rigorous specialized care.
Ardi’s mother, Diana, claims he would have temper tantrums if she took away his cigarettes.
She expressed concern that her son might die as a result of his addiction.
“He’d start smashing his head against the wall.” Diana recalled that “he was insane, harming himself because he couldn’t get a smoke,”
Ardi’s parents claim that his smoking addiction began when his father gave him his first cigarette at the age of 18 months.
Ardi’s appetite for junk food grew so swiftly after quitting smoking that his parents had to seek the assistance of a nutritionist.
Ardi is now addiction-free and flourishing in school, thanks to the assistance of food professionals.
