A Kenyan police recruit has reportedly died while participating in a recruitment drive, with videos and photos going viral on major internet platforms.
The incident, which was posted online by lethal blogger Cyprian Naykundi, shocked the entire nation because the helpless recruit was seen convulsing on the ground while police recruitment officers only looked at him without assisting.
According to Naykundi, the young man died while under the watchful eye of the police, who did nothing to save his life in terms of administering first aid.
“An AP recruit died as a result of strenuous training and a lack of medical attention.” The NPS Official KE has never trained first aid personnel on-site, despite funds allocated for that purpose being “consumed” by IG Hilary Mutyambai. Nyakundi tweeted, “#SackMutyambai.”
