Chacha Eke, a popular Nollywood actress, recently shared her struggle with mental health and how it affected her relationship with her mother. She revealed that she developed deep hatred for her mother and even wished for her death while growing up.
The actress explained that her hatred for her mother was caused by a mental disorder that made her switch her favorite person to her least favorite. As she got older, she began to dislike and develop deep hatred for her mother. She had nightmares and hallucinations that supported her euphoria.
Sadly, many men of God told her after several manic episodes that her mother was after her life. This made her go about wishing her mother death and spewing despicable things about her.
Chacha Eke said she was grateful to have realized that her hatred for her mother was as a result of her mental health while her mother was still alive. She advised others suffering from similar disorders to seek medical help. Despite her struggle with mental illness, her mother still raised a “queen.”
The movie star celebrated her mother’s birthday via her Instagram page by sharing a video of herself and her mother. She captioned it, “This is a video of me and my biological Mom. I loved her intensely when I was younger. She was, and still is my best friend.”
