A devastating video of songstress Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, also known as Mzbel, fighting back tears after learning of her father’s death has surfaced online.
The renowned performer, who has recently moved her concentration to radio, was on the air hosting her regular adult show on Accra-based Onua FM when she heard the heartbreaking news.
Mzbel couldn’t hold back her sobs as she abruptly ended the broadcast, gathered her belongings, and walked out of the studio to visit her father’s mortal remains.
She stated to the audience that her late father, Mr. Albert Amoah, was a Muslim and that he was due to be buried on the same day.
She went on to say that she needed to view his remains to pay her final respects before burying him.
Mzbel posted a new video on her Instagram page on Friday, January 28, 2022, showing her at the funeral grounds of her late father.
She was seen clad in a black floor-length dress, indicating she was in a state of mourning.
The cause of the death of Mr. Amoah is yet to be disclosed by the singer and her family.
This sad news comes a few days after the passing of Afia Schwar’s father. Afia Schwar and Mzbel are arch enemies and have both lost their fathers in the same month.
