A woman in her early 50s was arrested along with another person for pounding fufu under the Mallam Junction Overpass.
According to all appearances, the woman was launching a small eatery at the Mallam junction overpass.
This is not the first time someone has been arrested for attempting to open a restaurant beneath an overpass.
The Greater Accra Regional Police Command recently confirmed the arrest of two people in connection with the operation of a mini-restaurant at the newly opened Pokuase interchange.
A social media viral video showed two people pounding fufu late at night at the interchange for sale. The video appears to show some people patronizing the pavement mini-eatery next to them.
The video has been widely condemned by social media users, who are concerned that developments at the interchange will deface the infrastructure and end up causing the congestion it was designed to alleviate.
Officers from the Mallam Junction Police Station apprehended her.
