Following an Ammonia nitrate explosive tragedy Saturday night at a quarry site operated by some Chinese at Anto-Aboso in the Shama District of the Western Region, some people were presumed killed, with others still missing.
Meanwhile, officials from the Fire Department and other security staff are on the scene assisting with rescue attempts.
Eyewitnesses on the scene informed reporters that they were in their rooms when their ceiling collapsed on them.
This sad tragedy follows a similar catastrophe that occurred on January 20, 2022, near Appiatse, near Bogoso, some 300 kilometers west of Ghana’s capital, Accra.
