Police Seeking Suspect in USC Vicinity Shooting
Responding to the incident just after 4 p.m., Los Angeles police discovered one 50-year-old man with a gunshot wound and a second victim who appeared unconscious and unresponsive. Three ambulances were dispatched to the scene, and the situation was described as fluid. Authorities advise avoiding the area as the investigation unfolds.
USC Issues Emergency Alert to Students
Given the proximity to USC, the university’s emergency notification system, TrojansAlert, alerted students and staff to the situation, advising them to stay away from the affected area. The alert emphasized no imminent threat to the public.
Victims Hospitalized, Suspect Flees
The shooting victims have been transported to an area hospital, with the severity of their injuries yet to be disclosed. The alleged gunman is believed to have fled the scene in a gray Porsche Cayenne. LAPD continues its search for the individual.
