Three well-known musicians who are disabled yet have won the hearts of many.
The world is at no shortage of deeply creative, talented musicians who also happen to be blind.
What’s so touching is that many people who are born blind persevere in life. There are popular musicians in Ghana and Nigeria who are blind but yet do music.
Adelaide Bortier
Adelaide Bortier, better known by her stage as The Seer, is a Ghanaian musician who was born without the ability to see. DopeNation discovered and promoted the visually handicapped artist who has turned out to be a talented singer. She has a song called “Wire Me” with the DopeNation duos.
Semha G. Weifur
Weifur is a gospel singer from Nigeria who was discovered by Flavour, a Nigerian duet singer. Semha G. Weifur is currently under his management of him and has produced many songs for the visually impaired. ‘Most lofty’ and ‘Divine’ are the finest two to mention.
Chidinma Ekile
One of the few female Nigerians who has made a name for herself in the music industry. The blind woman was found after participating in Project Fame West Africa.
According to her, she was born blind and remained blind for 15 days after birth, but thanks to God’s intervention, she opened her eyes on the 16th day.
