A driver has been arrested for collaborating with criminals to rob his own father.
A 30-year-old driver was arrested for collaborating with criminals to rob his own father, who had recently returned to Ghana from the United States.
In Nima, this boy told them about a man returning from the United States with dollars and how he needed them to rob him.
Because the man is his biological father, he pleaded with them not to make the robbery violent.
The 30-year-old driver took them around their house and showed them where his father hides his money.
According to the tape, he stated that his father has a r*pe case and that the victim’s family has threatened him, so the robbers should use this as an excuse to raid the house.
He told them that his father had lost his brother in a similar heist, so when they threatened to murder him, he wouldn’t try to outwit them and would gladly hand up the money.
The plot worked, and the robbers were able to flee with large sums of money.
Unfortunately for the 30-year-old driver, the police who were tasked with investigating the heist chose him as a suspect.
The police recover an audio recording of a phone call the man had with the Nima-based thieves after interrogation.
