Grammy-winning reggae musician and radio personality Blakk Rasta has made a plea to Nana Adwoa Awindor, the mother of vocalist Efya, to enroll her daughter as quickly as possible in a treatment facility for substance abuse.
Efya has been in the news for allegedly getting hooked on drugs, which is slowly ruining her musical career. This is causing some fans of her music to worry about the future of her career since they enjoy her music.
Although there is not yet video of her using illegal substances that has been published on social media, several internet users who have had interactions with her have claimed that if you see her, you will quickly be able to tell that she is high on drugs.
The previous week, her mother, Nana Adwoa Awindor, was quoted in the media saying that the negative reports about her daughter are having a significant impact on the family since investors are turning away as a direct result of reading those stories.
She urged those who were spreading rumors about her daughter to stop doing so immediately.
But Blakk Rasta has replied to Nana Adwoa Awindor’s pleading with her on his show to do the right thing and get Efya into treatment for her drug addiction so that she may get her life back on track.
Nana Adwoa Awindor is allegedly using her public relations expertise to clean up after her daughter, Efya, who is currently addicted to drugs, when she is meant to hunt for assistance for Efya. This is according to him.
He added that Efya is in need of assistance, but if her folks continue to ignore her, the people of Ghana may wake up one day to the news that Efya has passed away and that drug misuse was the cause of her death.
