Stonebwoy and Wife Enstooled As Chiefs After Providing Boreholes to 4 Communities In the Western Region – Photos
Stonebwoy, a popular dancehall star in Ghana, has been recognized for his philanthropic efforts in providing clean water to communities in need. On June 14th, 2023, he commissioned four mechanized boreholes in four farming communities in the Shama district of the Western Region of Ghana.
These communities were facing water challenges due to the pollution of the River Pra caused by illegal mining activities known as galamsey. This pollution made it difficult for the communities to access clean water for drinking, cooking, and farming.
Through his foundation, the Livingstone Foundation, Stonebwoy provided boreholes to the communities of Antiamoah, Beposo Nkran, Daboase Junction, and Borkor Awuku Kope. These boreholes serve as a new source of clean water for the communities.
As a token of appreciation, leaders in Awutu Boko Kope enstooled Stonebwoy as a chief and offered him a goat. This is a great honor in Ghanaian culture and shows the community’s gratitude for his contribution to their well-being.
Stonebwoy’s generosity has made a significant impact on the lives of these communities. By providing a new source of clean water, he has helped to improve their health and quality of life. His recognition as a chief is a testament to the importance of giving back to those in need.
