Who was Steven A Salazar?

Steven A Salazar entered this world on October 26, 1997, in Summit, NJ, as the beloved son of Lilia (Giron) and Jose L. Salazar.

A true Summit native, Steven graduated from Summit High School with the class of 2016, where he not only excelled academically but also showcased his athletic talents as a prominent member of the high school soccer team.

Post-graduation, he pursued business studies and found employment as a Sales Consultant at Domus Construction in Clifton, NJ.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Steven was deeply passionate about fitness, frequenting the gym, and adhering to a healthy lifestyle. He harbored a fervent love for soccer, with a particular allegiance to Real Madrid CF, his favorite player being the legendary Cristiano Ronaldo.

Yet, above all, Steven held an unwavering devotion to his family, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Steven is survived by his loving parents, Lilia and Jose Salazar, along with his grandparents, Francis “Mimi” Reyes, Jose R. Giron, and Dago Salazar.

He is also survived by his dear siblings, Jose Salazar (Stephanie Murillo) and Elizabeth Salazar (Jafeth Reyes), his cherished niece, Claire Reyes, affectionately known as “Clarita,” his adored girlfriend, Stephanie Parra, and a multitude of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sula Portuguez.

Steven A Salazar Funeral

Relatives and friends are warmly invited to honor Steven’s life at the Funeral Mass on Saturday, January 27, 2024, commencing at 10:45 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Church, located at 306 Morris Ave, Summit, NJ.

Prior to the service, a visitation will take place from 8:30-10:00 AM at Paul Ippolito Summit Memorial, situated at 7 Summit Ave, Summit, NJ. Interment will be held privately.
