The video of an ordained Reverend Father, who also happens to be the chaplain of the St Monica’s College of Education in Mampong, Ashanti Region, giving several female students a kiss on the lips, went viral about midday yesterday.
In the video, the Reverend Father, who was dressed in a green gown, drew each of the students close to him and kissed them passionately on the lips.
He ordered the final lady who was wearing a nasal mask to take it off and gave her a dosage of the k!sses he was dishing out that day.
The crowd, which was packed with students, clapped and chanted joyously while all the k!ssing was going on.
After the video went viral, many people criticized the Reverend Father and questioned why he would do something that seemed to contradict his beliefs as a priest.
In response to the outcry, a statement purporting to be from some “Concerned Students” who support the Reverend Father was produced, purporting to criticize the bloggers who shared the videos on their blogs without conducting any investigation.
They said in their statement that this was the father’s method of thanking select meritorious kids after he presented them with certificates and monetary awards.
