Throwback Video Of Black Sherif Chewing Yam In Konongo Zongo Surfaces – Watch
Ghanaian musician Mohammed Ismail Sharrif, better known by his stage name Black Sherif, won the hearts of Ghanaians when he burst onto the music scene as a young boy from Konongo Zongo who had left his family to hustle in Accra. Black Sherif is popularly known as “Black Sherif.”
The young musician has openly discussed the challenges he faced as a child throughout many of his songs, and he is proud to be a representative of the Zongo community.
When Blacko claimed in his songs that he was from the streets, a video emerged on the internet proving that he did not lie about his origins. In the video, a young and thin Sherif was seen hanging out shirtless on the streets with some friends. He was with other people at the time.
The young musician was masticating furiously on a piece of fried yam that he held in his hands. A lot of people thought it was funny the way he ate, and they admired how far he’d come.
A lot of people were inspired by the video because it demonstrated how far diligent effort can take an individual.
