The internet has been trending with what many have described as an outrageous bride price list.
The list is thought to have come from a family and was given to a prospective in-law who came to seek their daughter’s hand in marriage.
Many people have been astounded by the demands on the list. Despite the name “short bride price list,” the contents are far from brief.
It has a long list of requirements for the suitor, including the large sum of GH38k, which must be paid in cash.
The following items will be provided by the man, according to a list shared on Twitter by @its yorubaboy:
“3 bags of rice (foreign), 3bags of beans, 100 tubers of yam, 15 packs of Biggi Cola, 15 packs of Biggi Tamarind, 4 gallons of red oil, 10 bags of onion, and a cash sum of N2, 100,000.”
