“A Lot Of Young People Are Battling Depression Silently And Not Relationship”- Fella Makafui
Precious Frimpong, popularly known as Fella Makafui, a popular Ghanaian actress, has stated that there are many young people going through a lot of depressing situations silently, and their grievances are not even about relationships.
It is common to believe that when a person is depressed, it is simply because he or she is having relationship problems. Some of this may be true, but in some cases, depression has nothing to do with relationships.
The pressure placed on the youth to make money in their early stages mostly causes them to be confused and uncomfortable because they may be labeled as failures if they fail to meet society’s expectations.
According to Fella Makafui, most young people only want to survive and make ends meet in order to meet these expectations, but it can be very discouraging when all efforts to achieve their goals prove futile.
She wrote;
“A lot of young people are battling depression silently and it’s not even about relationships. They just wanna survive. May God Heal whatever is hurting you”.
