Twene Jonas, a social media commentator, has unleashed verbal venom on rapper Sarkodie, describing him as a hypocritical figure in cahoots with the ruling party, the NPP.
According to him, Sarkodie’s support for the NPP has prevented him from speaking out about the ills of the government and championing the collective cause of Ghanaians.
His remark follows a post by Sarkodie yesterday in which he implied that, while E-LEVY was not a bad policy, Ghanaians were unwilling to pay because the system was not robust.
The Sarkcess CEO added that because many Ghanaians are broke and have not seen the benefits of their taxes, they see no reason to support and pay E-LEVY.
Following that, Twnene Jonas stated that he believes Sarkodie is playing ostrich with national issues in order to please his paymasters.
He maintained that, unlike Shatta Wale, who smokes but has come out to criticize the plan to implement the E-LEVY, Sarkodie has shown no interest in speaking for Ghanaians.
Twene Jonas did not mince words when he stated that Sarkodie would find it difficult to go as hard on the NPP government as he did during the tenure of the previous NDC government due to his affiliations.
