The founder and leader of Anointed Palace Chapel International, Reverend Obofuor, has paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Reverend Anthony Kwadwo Boakye, the founder and leader of Resurrection Power New Generation Church. Reverend Obofuor spoke at the funeral service of the late Reverend Boakye, which took place at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, August 5, 2023.

During his speech, Reverend Obofuor expressed his deep respect and admiration for the late preacher, whose church boasted thousands of devoted members. He acknowledged Reverend Boakye as a true man of God, whose anointing was unparalleled. “The anointing standing here; it is standing and not sitting, even though he is not alive today, nobody alive can do what he has been able to achieve,” Reverend Obofuor proclaimed.

Reverend Obofuor further revealed that, despite his fearless nature, there were only two things he feared: God and the law. However, he confessed that he also feared the anointing of Reverend Boakye, whom he regarded with utmost reverence.

The late Reverend Boakye’s wife, Reverend Margaret Boakye, had attempted to halt the funeral proceedings through a court injunction. However, the family, who had excluded her from attending, decided to proceed with the funeral despite her objections. The late Reverend Boakye passed away at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital on Tuesday, February 21, 2023. His body was laid in state at the Accra International Conference Centre on Friday, August 4, 2023, before the funeral service the following day.
