Football fans at Real Tamale United’s (RTU) game versus Aduana Stars chased referee Emmanuel Abu Quansah.
They stormed onto the field and chased the ref as soon as his final whistle went off, which ended the game.
As soon as they had him in their hands, the fans began beating him up in front of the supposed guardians: the police officers.
Baba Kushibo scored the only goal of the game for RTU in the first half of the match.
Aduana Stars’ Eric Kwakwa scored the equalizer in the 74th minute to ensure a point for the visitors.
RTU have gone eight games without a win in the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League, and they are only one point above the relegation zone at this point.
