“People laughed at me, but i have received calls from over 50 companies”- Viral Unemployed graduate speaks (video)
A University of Ghana graduate named Isaac Kwame Addae has gotten calls from more than 50 businesses since becoming viral for asking for work by the side of the road.
In a recent interview with Serwaa Amihere on GhOne TV, Addae disclosed that although several companies have contacted him, he has not yet found employment.
He said that some advice on the “commercial side of aquaculture” had been given to him.
He requested that he be given a job opportunity, regardless of whether it was in the field of marine science, a related field, or even something completely unrelated as long as it would allow him to earn money.
Addae claimed that he has sent his resume to each of these employers and is awaiting a response.

The UG graduate recently gained notoriety after a picture of him panhandling on the side of the road surfaced. He begged for a job while holding up a sign with his name, education, and contact information.
When a picture of him was shared online, it soon went viral and generated discussion.
It once more brought attention to the subject of graduate unemployment, one of the largest issues affecting the youth of this nation.
Because our politicians have shown no interest in resolving this problem, young Ghanaians are being forced to take such extreme measures in order to avoid burdening their families after graduating from college.
