Young poet and winner of talented kids Nakeeyat Dramani Sam, has revealed that millionaire Kofi Abban who made his fortune through Oil and Gas has gone back on his words of providing her with a lifetime scholarship.
Nakeeyat impressed the whole of Ghana with her poetry and won the last edition of the talented kids, she took home ¢10,000 cash and ¢15,000 educational fund, an all-expenses-paid trip to the UK, as well as souvenirs from sponsors.
It was then that Oil and Gas millionaire Kofi Abban promised her a lifetime educational scholarship, but according to Nakeeyat in an interview with delay, she does not think Kofi Abban will follow through on his words.
She said she visited the man’s office with her parents on several occasions but to no avail.
Nakeeyat is currently on a scholarship at the Royals School located at Adenta in Accra.
Nakeeyat added that her scholarship runs till her Tertiary level education.
