The mother of the soldier killed in Ashaiman, Trooper Sherif Imoro, has refuted claims that he was killed because he was dating someone else’s girlfriend.
Imoro was stabbed to death in Ashaiman by some unidentified assailants.
He was a young soldier assigned to Sunyani who had reportedly traveled to Accra for training and was killed while returning to Ashaiman to see his family, where he was raised.
After his passing, the military invaded Ashaiman and carried out some heinous deeds as payback.
According to some reports, he was killed after being ambushed by the man and his friends because he was dating a girl who was dating someone else.
His mother responded to the rumors by saying they were untrue.
She claimed that Imoro was killed while on his way to see his family.
