“My Intelligent son was denied admission to Achimota Because of his dreadlocks”- Rasta Father cries.
Due to his dreadlocks, a Rastafarian father laments the rejection of his genius son by the officials at Achimota college.
The Ghanaian Rastafarian who posted his story on Facebook goes by the name “Raswad Menkrabea.”
According to him, his talented son, who is still in high school, has been accepted into Achimota School, one of Ghana’s most prestigious high schools.
When he took his son to the school to be accepted, he was turned down along with another boy due to their hairstyle.
According to the brilliant boy’s Rastafarian father, his son has every right to his faith, as long as wearing dreadlocks to school does not break Ghana’s 1992 constitution.
“As a Rastafarian, I agree that dreadlocks do not cause any harm, and that this should be a justification for the school authorities to assert.” he penned
