50,000 Nigerians Sign Petition To Ban Music Of Naira Marley Following Death Of Mohbad

Some Mohbad admirers have joined a petition to have the ‘Marlian Music Label’ banned due to Mohbad’s death. Over 50,000 people have signed a petition to ban the Marlian Music Label.

The petition was created after the death of former Marlian Music signee Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba aka Mohbad on Tuesday, September 12.

The gifted singer died a year after his contentious separation from the Naira Marley-owned record label, following an internal dispute and abuse claims.

The police confirmed on Thursday that they are looking into Mohbad’s death.

However, enraged fans have begun to sign a petition calling for the closure of the late singer’s former record label, Marlian Music.

Meanwhile, the family of late Nigerian singer Mohbad was caught on tape at his gravesite discussing ways to retrieve his assets from his wife, Wunmi.

Remember that the musician died on Tuesday, September 12, and was buried just 24 hours later in Ikorodu, Lagos State, according to Islamic rituals.

Some of his relatives were apprehended as his burial was being dug, plotting how to seize his properties from his 24-year-old widow.

During their conversation, one of the men inquired about the whereabouts of Mohbad’s wife, telling her she needed to ‘drop everything’. In response, a man stated that she should not attend the burial because they would take anything belonging to the singer that she had in her hands.

An older man on the scene noted that there are children who earn millions of naira but do not send money home. He also cautioned the guys assembled at the burial not to trust women.

Another man was overheard lamenting the artist’s burial location, claiming that the musician, who owns mansions, is being laid to rest in a village.

It should be noted that Mohbad’s marriage to his wife was not made public till after his untimely death. The musician had a 5-month-old son with his 10-year-old companion.

This has prompted fury on social media, with many criticizing the singer’s family for discussing his properties only 24 hours after his death.
