Congratulations To Kurt Okraku As He Retains His Seat As GFA President.
Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, KURT Edwin Simeon OKRAKU, has secured a second term in office following an impressive vote of confidence from delegates during the Elective Congress held in Tamale, Northern region of Ghana.
The incumbent GFA head ran unopposed in the election, however, the voting process proceeded as per the association’s constitution. Out of the one hundred and twenty (120) delegates present, a whopping 117 cast their votes in favour of Simeon-Okraku, representing an overwhelming 97.5% of total votes.
While the majority of delegates endorsed his continued leadership, the election was not without dissent, as two delegates opted against his retention. Additionally, one delegate chose to abstain from the process entirely.
Simeon-Okraku’s re-election speaks to the confidence the football fraternity has in his ability to steer the Association towards growth and development. His first term saw the implementation of several policies aimed at promoting football in Ghana and it is expected that this vigor will persist in his subsequent term.
The journey ahead is not without challenges. As the head of Ghana’s football governing body, Simeon-Okraku will need to navigate the complexities of football politics while ensuring the growth of the sport within the nation.
We extend our congratulations to KURT Edwin Simeon OKRAKU and wish him unwavering strength in tackling the formidable tasks ahead.
