A woman identified as Doris Darko took her ordeal to Anty Naa of Kumasi based Oyerepa FM for help as she claims her husband has divorced her yet does not want to give her the share of their properties,
According to this woman, everything started when she went to Jordan for greener pastures which gave her husband the opportunity to also obtain visas for others in return for money.
After working as a nanny in Jordan for 8 months, life became difficult; my six-month salary of an estimated (at 6000) six thousand Ghana cedis was sent to him because we agreed to marry when I returned to Ghana.
We got married right away. I returned home and had a baby boy; the wedding was paid for by my husband, and the six-monthly salaries were supplemented by my husband in order to purchase a plot of land. Doris Darko narrates for Aunty Naa of Kumasi’s Oyerepa Radio.
After 6 years of dating, we married. Lawrence, my husband, had nothing when I started dating him. He began his connection work by obtaining visas for women to travel to Qatar, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, and other countries.
At one point, I realized that job returns were not coming, but visas had been secured for people to travel. My husband was arrested one day for issuing a fake document, and I had the opportunity to search through his phone.
It was then that I listened to the audio my husband sent to a lady demanding the remaining amount of his contract with her. In the audio, the lady boldly told my husband that she had sex with a visa.
Regardless, I was able to secure bail for my husband, and we paid off all of our debts. My husband used my salary to purchase a plot of land and construct a two-bedroom semi-detached apartment in Abuakwa, Ashanti.
When things began to improve, he resumed sleeping with women; I confronted him and jokingly demanded a divorce; to my utter surprise, my husband divorced me as a result.
We had built a complete 6-bedroom house in Sunyani, where we grew up, prior to the divorce.
My husband has now refused to compensate me and is not caring for the baby. Please assist me, Aunty Naa. Doris Darko said.
