Music has always been a deadly business – Kelvynboy on Mohbad’s death

Kelvyn Brown, popularly known as Kelvynboy, a Ghanaian Afrobeat singer-songwriter, has sent a cryptic message about the health of the Ghanaian music industry.

According to the “Down Flat” hitmaker, the music industry has been lethal, and such circumstances are the result of industry feuds.

KelvynBoy stated on his Twitter (X app) handle that he and many other artists are only in the music business to make a living and not for any other profound reason.

As a result, he urged everyone in the industry to embrace and spread peace and love.

“Music has always been a dangerous profession!” Chale, that makes no sense…and it always begins with this ineffective meat. We’re just trying to make a life doing what we enjoy. That shouldn’t be so deep, bro. Fill the game with love right now,” he wrote.

His remarks follow the death of Nigerian artist MohBad, who died abruptly under unknown circumstances.

Prior to his passing, MohBad reportedly faced harassment from some colleagues in the industry. As a result, many people believe he was murdered.

KelvynBoy has also been embroiled in controversy, as the former Burnington Group signee signed a one-year deal with Stonebwoy’s record label in 2018.

Although the deal had the possibility to be renewed for another four years, Burnington Music Group announced in a statement that it will not be renewing its partnership owing to Kelvynboy’s behavior in 2019.

In 2020, Kelvynboy allegedly suffered an assault at the hands of a man referred to as Stonebwoy’s former bodyguard and other Ashiaman locals.

We’re just trying to make a life doing what we enjoy. That shouldn’t be so deep, bro. Fill the game with love right now.
