“Mobile money fraudsters have registered a number in my na!e and using it to defraud my fans”- Nana Ama Mcbrown

After taking a few weeks off, Nana Ama McBrown returned to her favorite hot seat on United Showbiz.

When one of the United Showbiz panelists, Mr. Logic, forced her to face some brand-related concerns that were in the news and nearly destroyed her hard-earned reputation, she did so right away.

Then, the screen diva and cum media figure revealed how some dishonest individuals had opened a MoMo account in her name and utilized it to swindle unwary victims.

She also briefly addressed accusations that she left the show because she had given birth to her second child in Canada by using the opportunity.

When COVID limits were relaxed, she reportedly made a video urging others to contact her with their products so she could help with promotion across her social media accounts.

And that’s when the con artists struck and seized the opportunity.

“So, I spoke at the time because of this issue and also to dismiss the rumours that had been going around that I had given birth. In effect, I used a stone to kill two birds,” she said on last week’s edition of the United Showbiz programme.“The idea was to help promote the products and services of people who I asked to reach out to via WhatsApp so I put their products and services on social media so that I can help with advertisement.“And with how things were hard at the time, it was unsettling. That is why I used a stone to kill two birds. Parents, friends and well-wishers were also asking about debunking the pregnancy too. So, I responded specifically because of that,” she added.

As seen in the video, which runs from 19:45 to 23:23, she revealed this.
