Netizens were taken aback after a Nigerian guy apparently returned a costly phone that a girlfriend had purchased for him on Valentine’s Day.
The conclusion drawn from the post is that the gentleman did not want the lady to feel any emotion for him.
According to a friend of the man who published the story on Twitter, he turned down the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to avoid any emotional attachment.
He claimed that the man did not want to lead her on since he isn’t interested in her enough to want to be in a relationship with her.
“So this lady got my friend a 13 pro max for Valentine’s Day last night,” he wrote. When they got inside the car, the man handed her the phone back. The lady doesn’t seem to be what he’s looking for, and she doesn’t want to fuel anything!”
