Lady’s Face Full Of Acne After Shaving Her Face After Watching A Beauty Hack

When something goes viral on social media, it can be tempting to try it out without thinking about the consequences.

However, one woman’s experience shows that it’s important to think before jumping on popular beauty trends.

Regina Quaye wanted to remove the peach fuzz from her face, so she tried a method she saw on TikTok that suggested dry shaving it.

Vellus hair, also known as peach fuzz, is fine, short hair that grows all over your body, including your face, stomach, arms, and legs. It helps regulate your body temperature and protects your skin.

After Regina dry-shaved her peach fuzz in November last year, her face became painful and swollen, and her skin looked destroyed.

Three days later, she rushed to the emergency room, where doctors prescribed hydrocortisone cream to try and calm her skin.

Regina is now warning others not to try the beauty hack that hasn’t been tried and tested by professionals. She explained that she had tried dry shaving once before in 2021 and broke out, but she thought it was the new skincare products she was using at the time. Her skin started to flare up three days after she shaved.

Thankfully, Regina’s skin became better after a few treatments of the cream she was given, but now she suffers from acne-prone, oily skin and can only use specific skincare products.

Regina’s experience shows that it’s important to be cautious when trying out beauty trends you see on social media. Some social media users were horrified by her experience, while others shared their own experiences of how shaving their face destroyed their skin.

Regina has since shared an update showing a few products that helped her, including qasil powder, a hydrating moisturizer, and Acnotin.
