A video of Kenyan artist DJ Brownskin filming his wife as she consumed poison and perished has gone viral months after her death.
Sharon Njeri Mwangi, DJ Brownskin’s partner, and mother of his children died in July of last year.
On April 2, a video of her final minutes emerged online.
DJ Brownskin, the actual name Michael Macharia Njiri, is seen in the video seated and recording while his wife puts a toxic substance into a cup and gulps it down.
He was overheard chatting to her as she drank the poison, and according to accounts, he was pressuring her to do so.
After taking it, the wife moves over to a three-seater sofa and lowers herself into it as the drug takes effect.
When the agony becomes intolerable, the wife lowers herself to the ground and begins squirming in anguish between her husband’s thighs, but he makes no move to get her help.
Later, one of the couple’s children is seen giving the Mwangi a cup containing milk for her to consume.
Unfortunately, the woman perished.
Following the release of the video, Kenyans took to Twitter to criticize DJ Brownskin, informing him that he had the foresight to attend his wife’s funeral after standing by and doing nothing as she died.
