Kennedy Agyapong lied about Ahmed Suale’s death – CID Boss reveals
Isaac Ken Yeboah, the head of the Ghana Police Service’s Criminal Investigations Department (CID), has denied knowing who killed the late journalist, Ahmed Hussein-Suale.
At a news conference conducted at the CID headquarters in Accra today, June 30, he revealed the information while addressing questions.
When asked about accusations made by Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong, who is on record as stating the CID knew who killed Suale, Mr. Yeboah claimed he had no such information.
“To the best of my knowledge, for the time being, I don’t have such information, and I’d like to postpone it, said the CID chief.
According to reports, Kennedy Agyapong, the MP for Assin Central, accused the police of concealing the journalist’s murder in March 2021.
He said that the Ghana Police Service had information about the murders but refused to provide it.
In order to clear his name, Mr. Agyapong vowed to expose the identity of the perpetrators.
Ahmed Hussein Suale was killed by two unidentified individuals on motorcycles on January 16, 2019. He was shot in the chest twice and in the neck once.
He was a member of Tiger Eye Private Investigations and had looked into the football league’s corruption in Ghana.
The suspension of football operations and a ban on the former head of Ghana’s Football Association followed an undercover investigation into financial presentations.
