Trotro strike: Ghanaians praise IGP Dampare for providing buses to transport stranded passengers.

The nationwide drivers’ strike made Yesterday a particularly difficult day for people especially workers users in Accra and the surrounding area.

The strike which was a form of drivers’ retaliation to the recent increase in fuel prices got hundreds of people walking several miles to their workplaces since many were unable to obtain automobiles to their respective places.

To alleviate the issue, the Inspector General of Police, IGP Dampare decided to offer buses at strategic locations to assist many stranded citizens.

A total of 18 buses were made available to carry schoolchildren, the elderly, and other stranded individuals.
