Shafik Mahama, son of Ghana’s former president John Mahama, and his Algerian wife, Asma, have become first-time parents.
It’s been two years since Shafik rediscovered his long-lost rib Asma, and in that time, the two have tied the knot in a wedding ceremony that was understated but refined in Dubai.
Since then, in November of 2022, they became parents for the first time to a little girl whom they called Alyzia.
Asma posted a message on Instagram saying that their new baby had arrived. “Thank you God for my little blessing, al hamdulilah. welcome to the world baby Alyazia.”
