Sometimes we wonder why some human beings are so hurtless as if they don’t have feelings when harming their fellow.
A 37-year-old single mother of two, identified as Joy Sunday, was detained by officers from the Ogun State Police Command for throwing boiling water on the face of her fellow lady, Justina Ameh, for sleeping with her husband.
As per a statement released by DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, the state police command’s spokesperson, the suspect, Madam Joy Sunday, was caught after the victim’s elder sister, Kelechi Samuel, filed a case at Agbado divisional headquarters.
According to Oyeyemi, Samuel said that she and her younger sister went to the Spring of Life Global Ministry in the Giwa region of Agbado for a revival when the suspect entered the church with a container of hot water and dumped it on her sister’s face, injuring her severely.
She further alleges that she was stabbed in the left hand by the same suspect while attempting to hold her.
CSP Kehinde Kuranga, DPO Agbado division, was sent to the location after receiving the information, and the culprit was quickly captured.
” During questioning, the suspect, Joy Sunday, stated that the victim has been accusing her of sleeping with her husband for quite some time now, and all attempts to disabuse her of this belief have been futile.
On that fateful day, while they were in church, the victim appeared as usual and began cursing her.
As she attempted to walk away from her, the victim drew her back with her cloth and tore it. That irritability drove her to go home and boil water, which she brought back to the church and poured on the victim’s face.
When asked if she is dating the victim’s husband, the suspect replied, “I can swear with anything that there is nothing between me and the victim’s husband.” According to Abimbola
