“If the river gods used to curse Jonas are real, they won’t have allowed the waters to spoil”- Sam George
Sam George, the Member of Parliament for Nino Prampram, has backed Twene Jonas in her attacks on Ghanaian politicians.
According to George, political and cultural authorities, such as chiefs, are complicit in the threat of galamsey, hence Jonas’ claims are completely false.
In an interview, George stated that while charges against Jonas for criticizing leaders may have some merit, it does not nullify the realities he speaks about our flawed system.
He also went after some chiefs, accusing them of cursing Jonas for insulting Otumfour and other chiefs.
The river gods, according to George, would kill those chiefs first before hurting Jonas because he is guarding the river gods while the chiefs are selling them to Chinese to demolish their dwelling with galamsey.
