“I won’t be able to sleep at night if I don’t contest and save Ghana from this mess”- Mahama

Former President John Dramani Mahama has said that Ghana’s economy needs “default settings” in order to recover.

Under Akufo-Addo’s government, Ghanaians are not only suffering, but companies are failing, according to the flagbearer contender of the major opposition National Democratic Party (NDC).

Regardless of the difficulties that companies are facing, he claims that the government is pressuring owners with taxes and threatening to shut them down if they do not pay.

Mr. Mahama said that he would have rather not to run for President again since he has done his bit, but he would be unable to sleep if he does not return and deliver the economy.

He said that his future administration would return the country to its original state in order to provide a better basis for the next generation to build on.

Mr Mahama was speaking to NDC members in the Ashanti region’s Nhyiaeso Constituency as part of a three-day campaign trip.

Mr Mahama is now touring all of the country’s constituencies.

He has traveled a minimum of 2,708 kilometers to meet and connect with branch and constituency leaders in 47 constituencies across four regions.
