During a recent interview, Kuame Eugene stated that he has no intention of collaborating with rapper Guru.
This is likely due to past issues between the two, when Guru publicly criticized Kuame Eugene for his alleged ego after he declined to work with him.
Guru blamed Richie, Kuame Eugene’s boss, for the rejection, claiming that he was upset over Guru’s appearance on a song that made fun of Lynx owner and rapper Okyeame Kwame.
Richie later clarified that all decisions regarding collaborations go through him as a member of the Lynx family.
“Guru did not use the right channel. You want to feature me but you go to media houses to insult the man who made me. I wouldn’t have been Kuami Eugene but for Richie so I expect that respect is accorded him no matter the differences that exist. I am under Lynx Entertainment and any song I produce needs to go through them,”
Kuame Eugene stated that there will be no friendship between him and Guru because of the disrespect shown towards his family.
He also mentioned that Guru has a temper. Ideally, it would have been better for the industry’s veterans to have resolved this issue on their own, as it is concerning that Guru has attacked Eugene’s family.
