A Ghanaian nurse has gained appreciation and admiration on social media for a brave move in which she saved three lives (a mother and her twins) in a taxi.
Juliet Acheampong, a nurse, was approached in an emergency to assist her neighbor in giving delivery safely. She put her abilities to the test by safely delivering her neighbor’s twins.
In a viral video, the nurse, who is also a twin, is shown giving birth to the woman’s twins inside a cab.
In recounting the events, Juliet stated that she was summoned to check on a neighbor who had gone into labor. The folks around her were able to get a car to transport the pregnant mother to the hospital.
In the video, Juliet is heard saying that the woman in labor indicated a desire to soothe herself on the way to the hospital.
The courageous nurse then requested that the taxi driver pull over to the side of the road so she could inspect the pregnant woman.
Juliet Acheampong went on to say that when she examined the lady’s dilation, she saw one of the infants was coming out with its hands visible instead of its head.
She went on to add that she was able to handle the situation and successfully deliver the mother of the twin infants despite the fact that she had no hospital or delivery machinery at her disposal.
