In a recent interview, Noble Nketsiah discussed his journey from grass to grace.
The well-known gospel musician recalled how, as a child, he had to live in poverty.
He went on to describe how one of his songs was inspired by someone’s generosity.
Noble Nketsiah, an award-winning veteran Ghanaian gospel singer, has revealed that as a young boy growing up, he had to survive on nothing.
In an exclusive interview, Noble Nketsiah stated that he was not born with a silver spoon in his mouth.
He claimed that he had to finish senior high school on the same mattress, which had flattened due to constant use.
Noble Nketsiah stated that when he was in school, he could not afford to change his school uniform on a term basis, as others did.
He had to stitch his school uniform every month, according to him, and the numerous stitches in his attire earned him the nickname “Stitches.”
Even after finishing school, the Yesu Do hitmaker said, life dealt him a hard hand because he had to move from one menial job to the next.
He stated that he worked as a bus conductor for a time before moving on to sell used clothing in order to make ends meet.
The popular gospel singer even admitted that he had to beg for food and money at times just to survive.
He went on to say that he had no plans to become a musician, but that God, in His infinite wisdom, guided him in that direction.
Noble Nketiah explained that one of his songs, Yesu Do, was born after a man bestowed some money on him.
