I nearly lied about my age but I changed my mind – Yaw Dabo tells why he said he’s 24 years old during a foreign interview (Video)

Yaw Dabo has revealed that he almost lied about his age during an interview with Spanish media outlet Marca.

The Kumawood actor and football administrator admitted that he was initially reluctant to reveal his true age, but ultimately chose to prioritize integrity and credibility.

Following the interview, Dabo went viral and is currently trending on the Ghanaian online scene. He recently spoke about the experience in a fresh interview on Wontumi TV.

“When the white man asked me about my age, I did not want to mention it. If you watched the video, I was a bit hesitant, I wanted to change my age but I reconsidered my decision because I was there to get help for my club.

“Some of these foreigners like truth and loyalty so I decided to say I am 24 years. The interviewer then said, ‘respect, respect’, and from there, we continued with the interview”, Dabo said.
