“I make ₵12,000 monthly as a cleaner in Spain but I want to return to Ghana”- Man reveals (watch video)
George Bondzie, a young Ghanaian man who lives in Spain, has said that he wants to go back to his home country even though he makes a pretty good salary where he is now.
George explains that he earns €1,200 (12,610) per month as a cleaner in a meat factory in Spain, but that sum clearly isn’t enough to satisfy him, thus he longs to return to Ghana.
The young man, who granted DJ Nyaami an interview on SVTV Africa’s YouTube channel, elaborated on his journey by stating that he had first left Ghana for Italy and then traveled to Spain.
He went on to explain that he had followed his father there, who was already living there, and that he had been with him for two years, during which time he was unable to secure job due to a lack of legal authorization.
He ultimately tied the knot with a native Spanish speaker, which allowed him to legally enter the workforce. Even though he has been working non-stop for the past two years, he claims to have spent the previous six years living abroad.
George said that even though living abroad is better for his finances, he would still rather leave because of the stress.
