Following the release of her song “Big Momma,” the newest star on the internet, Big Ivy, has stated that she is “overwhelmed” by the replies and support that she has received on social media.
She claims that the song Big Momma, which gave rise to the rivalry between the Ghanaian actor and Nigeria’s Mama Dolarz, has brought her more popularity than her acting career ever did.
Big Ivy admitted during an interview on Hitz FM that although she enjoyed rapping when she was younger, she eventually gave it up in order to concentrate on obtaining her degrees and launching a career in acting.
She mentioned that over the course of her career, she has participated in a variety of shows, some of which are YOLO, Abiba, TV Theatre, Home Sweet Home, and Things We Do For Love.
She mentioned that she did not open up about her interest in rap until she recently had a conversation with her son, who is a rapper by the name of CJ Biggerman.
“I have been acting for about 20 years now, I have not been this big. I am surprised especially on social media, I wasn’t expecting it to be this big, I really like it, it is noise, and this world has a lot of stress, so we are using it to distress, so we are having fun,” she said.
Big Ivy mentioned that even if she does not have people running up to meet her when she steps out, there are a lot of people on social media that know who she is today and follow her.
She went on to say that as a result of this, she is now in a position to serve as an example to anyone whose life decisions motivate them to create something for themselves and that this has put her in a position to do so.
This comes as a result of the lyrical war that has been going on between Big Ivy and Mama Dolarz, which reached a new level this week after Big Ivy released a new single that dissed Mama Dolarz.
The conflict began when CJ Biggerman decided to honor his mother by working on a song with her and calling it “Big Momma.”
Some Nigerians read the imaginative poem, and they speculated that their mothers would be more inventive than Big Ivy.
